Dr. Robert D. Newman:  President / Chairman

Dr. Newman founded Divine Heart College is 2007 to meet the growing needs of the Church and online ministries for trained and equipped leaders.  The college continues to grow and Dr. Newman is planning a physical location in 2010.  Dr. Newman holds a PhD in Counseling/Psychology and a PhD in Theology.  He is also Chairman of the Board for Divine Hearts of Hope a Non-Profit  that works with families in crisis.

 

Dr. Elizabeth A. Newman:  Vice President / Member of the Board

Dr. Elizabeth is the Co-Founder of Divine Heart College.  Dr. Elizabeth is the current Vice President and a member of the board of directors for Divine Heart College.  Dr. Elizabeth has a Psychology degree from Fisher College in Boston, Ma. and a PhD in Religious Administration from Divine Heart College.

 

Dr. Mark John Nelson:  Dean of Students / Member of the Board

Dr. Nelson is the current Dean of Students at Divine Heart College.  Dr. Nelson worked as a professional musician fairly steadily since the 1970's. He lived in Nashville, Austin, and Dallas. He returned to Kansas in the 1990's. Dr. Nelson owned a guitar shop during the 90's, and still dabbles with guitars. I am an animal lover, both wild and domestic. My favorite music is Bluegrass, although I play many different styles. I am married, with two grown daughters, and four step-sons. I have numerous grandchildren, with more to come.  Dr. Nelson is a 2009 recipient of The Divine Heart Award. The Divine Heart Award is given to individuals who show great efforts in their community and personal lives to set the highest standards of excellence in the Christian Kingdom and the Glory of the Lord. Dr. Nelson has a BA and MA Degree in Theology from Divine Heart College.  Dr. Nelson also earned his PhD in Religious Counseling at Divine Heart College.
