The Divine Heart Award is given to individuals who show great efforts in their community and personal lives to set the highest standards of excellence in the Christian Kingdom and the Glory of the Lord.  Individuals are nominated and chosen for this honor by the college Board of Trustees.

Upon conferring of this Award to the chosen person, they receive an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from Divine Heart College with all the rights and responsibilities of that degree.
